Carlo Klein

Dr. Carlo Klein studied biology at the University of Kassel from 2010 with a stopover at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory in Heidelberg. In 2016, he went to the Center for Synthetic Microbiology at the Philipps University of Marburg for his doctoral thesis. While working on his PhD on gene regulation in bacteria, he also co-authored a book on basic genetics with other early stage scientists in addition to his dissertation. Currently, he is a PostDoc at the Center for Synthetic Biology at the TU-Darmstadt, working in the field of molecular microbiology.

Carlo Klein has gained broad experience in science communication since 2012 as a member of a school lab, in Science Cafés, and as a speaker on biosafety topics and modern methods in genetics.
